BIG!

Madison is now 19 months old. She goes to nursery at church and is getting a little better every week. Last week we snapped this picture when we got home to commemorate the first Sunday that she didn't cry! She toddled down the hall all excited and went right in the room without a second glance back at Mom. It was awesome.

She had her 18 month checkup and everything is good. her stats are:

Height: 33 inches (about 80th percentile)

Weight 24 lbs (50th percentile)

and I never remember her head, but it's good too :)

• ~This girl will jabber your ear off and she has a super goofy personality.
• ~She loves to laugh and joke around.
• ~She is still getting used to playing with other kids, but has a few boys that are breaking her in to the whole friend/sharing thing.
• ~She loves hugging and kissing the youngest boy- Jett. She also loves to say "Dawson" and chase and be chased by Jackson
• ~She's not a picky eater overall, but doesn't necessarily like the same food one time, even if she's devoured it in the past- it really varies day to day
• ~She is a big time mama's girl lately
• ~She is also a Papa's girl and always wants to "go...papa!" so we visit them a lot!
• ~She thinks it is so funny to chase Hal and terrorize him, yet he still tries to lick her which makes her laugh super hard.
• ~She can climb up on pretty much anything she sets her mind to...and often does.
• ~She loves balloons
• ~If anyone is sleeping (or pretending to sleep) she'll tell you to "shhh be quiet" then get right up in their face and roar at them VERY loudly. Hmmm....who taught her that!?
• ~She still walks a little bit like Frankenstein and it is so cute to watch.
• ~She can tell you all the farm animal sounds, and tries hard to do fish lips
• ~She loves babies, and cracks us up when she goes right up to them and says "hey baby!"
• ~She is sleeping through the night about half the time now
• ~She doesn't cry for very long when she does wake up at night, but will yell and jabber and sing for hours! It drives me crazy and makes me laugh at the same time.
• ~She finally has enough hair to be combed! Not that I do every day, but she has a cute little curly mullet and we keep hoping the top will fill in soon.
• ~She just started giving really big tight hugs. Before she would groan and pretend she was squeezing hard, but it is so fun that she actually does now.
• ~I am constantly amazed and humbled by how smart she is and how she will sit and patiently figure something out- definitely a Kallen trait.
• ~Her favorite word right now is "yucky," but is getting really good at repeating whatever we say.
• ~I don't know how she does it, but she continues to win our hearts a little more each day.
